About The Country Paw Spa
Welcome to The Country Paw Spa, a shared grooming space run by two experienced, independent groomers - Pounce and Paws Dog Grooming and The Hampshire Dog Groomer. Although we run separate businesses, we work together to provide a high quality, one to one grooming experience, in a calm and welcoming environment. Our focus is your dog's comfort and wellbeing where each groom is tailored to the individual needs of every dog.

Claire
Pleased to meet you! I am Claire, The Hampshire Dog Groomer. I am a professional dog groomer with a lifelong love of animals, and after years in a corporate career I finally decided to follow my heart and pursue my dream of working with muddy paws and wagging tails!
I offer one-to-one appointments in a relaxed setting, allowing each dog to feel safe, unhurried, and cared for. With a gentle approach and a focus on wellbeing, I take the time to build trust and tailor every groom to the individual dog. My aim is for each dog to leave feeling comfortable, truly looked after, and beautifully refreshed.
Megan
Hello, I’m Megan, the proud owner of Pounce & Paws Dog Grooming at The Country Paw Spa. From a young age, I’ve always had a deep love for animals and knew I wanted to build a career working with them. This led me to complete an Extended Diploma in Animal Management, where I studied animal behaviour, biology, and welfare, giving me a strong foundation for understanding and caring for every dog I work with.
I went on to complete a professional dog grooming course, which kickstarted my grooming career. I gained valuable experience working in a busy salon before following my dream and launching my own business here in Basingstoke. I’m passionate about creating a calm, safe, and positive grooming experience, where every dog feels comfortable and cared for. When I’m not grooming, you’ll usually find me out exploring with my fur-baby, Archie. I can’t wait to welcome your lovely pooches to Pounce & Paws at The Country Paw Spa.
